Catching the Bullet train. Red Bullets at the Slug & Lettace, Aylesbury
Kelly and I weren’t going to see The Red Bullets last night as we both had something just as important to attend. After the evening’s event we both went home. Much to my surprise she rings me thirty minutes later and this was the entire conversation:
“Hello?”
“Be spontaneous!”
“OK”
“Go to the Slug”
“Now?
“Yes!!”
“OK”
As you can see, Shakespeare couldn’t write anything better than that!
I picked her up. We arrived at the Slug just as they were playing Duffy’s Mercy. I went straight to the bar, Kelly went straight to the Bullets! I had forgotten just how good they sounded live. After Mercy, they blasted out a stonking version of the Kings of Leon’s “Sex on fire”. The crowd was modest but still plenty enough to build a great atmosphere. I did notice there were more girls up front than lads but that’s not necessarily a bad thing.
They powered through one more encore and by that time everyone’s feet were either tapping or jumping. The lads ended on a high much to the venue’s applause.
Kelly bought along her Nikon D90. I wasn’t preapred to bring my kit along, I just wanted to enjoy the music, so the photos below all belong to Kelly.
I thought the Red Bullets sounded better than ever. It is difficult to remain bias when I have followed them for almost a year now; even so I know the world should hear them and I wish them every success.

Should have done some crowd shots with me dancing. Then everyone would have known that the atmo was good.
Notwithstanding the previous comment, and very rudely, I forgot to mention that the shots Kelly got are absolutely superb.
