Tom Craven at the MK4U festival, Milton Keynes.

Ask, and you shall receive. Well, that’s what Tom did on Facebook; he asked his friends to go and see him play today at a free Festival held in Campbell Park right in the middle of Milton Keynes. Of course I went as a photographer, there is no way I am going to a festival without a camera!

Tom performed in the “Tea Room” which was literally that. It looked liked a TV Set of a Posh tea party if it were held in a tent. I thought it was done in a wistful and dreamy (surreal) fashion, but it worked. It certainly made the environment more interesting to shoot in. It was very chilled in there probably because Tom’s playing style is mellow with deep meaning. I’m sure all his songs are very personal to him but with just a guitar and a voice it does set the mood for an intimate session.

Well done to Tom for an engaging set. I look forward to seeing him play soon, possibly in Watford.
