Gigphotographer was lucky enough to spend a day with jazz musicians. Yes I did have a dozen things to do, but because things have been very hectic lately I made a deliberate effort to slow my life down. And with that I spent a lazy Sunday afternoon with Jazz Juice. Five very talented musicians who just know how to melt those notes on the page. Five instruments that are as individual as they are united in create a free flowing rainbow of sound.

Other musical genres set out to make a statement; Rock is bold and brash while Classical is sophisticated and militant. But Jazz is just Jazz. It never tries to show off because it doesn’t need to. That’s how I felt Jazz Juice played it out; with a mellow and laid back feel. They have nothing to prove, so they just enjoyed their short rehearsal before doing several takes of well known Jazz pieces (I won’t spoil it by revealing the titles just yet).
