Runway Festival.

i was privileged enough to be invited to the birth of a new event The Runway Festival just outside of Waddesdon, Buckinghamshire. It was organized by Adrienne Aiken who owns and runs Runway Studios based out in an old disused RAF airbase. The setting truly is spectacular so I could easily see the potential of this festival growing and growing.
More photos, videos and interviews to follow soon!

The Red Bullets play to fans at Hobble 09

Without doubt, The Red Bullets are one of my favourite bands and that goes for signed bands too!
The lead singer Peter Edwards has earned his place as the band’s front man. Even though he sits down during the set that doesn’t mean we can take our eyes off him for a minute! Equally Pete’s brother Mark on the drums is a force to be reckoned with. I once made the mistake of playing on his drums, let’s just say he playfully suggested I stick to photography. Then there’s Mark Wheeler, …

Tinlin, Hobble on the Cobble 2009.

I had the great fortune of meeting Tinlin yesterday in Aylesbury. They had been ask to come to me for a quick photoshoot.  Alex and Rolf are brothers, not that I could tell! I couldn’t see a physical resemblance, but quickly I could tell they have the same laid back nature.
They were keen to help me out and showed much patience while I was calibrating the lights for the shoot. They were “on in ten” which put a bit of pressure but nothing I couldn’t handle, Weddings have toughen me …

This website is not the proper forum to discuss the purpose of the conference, however I did want to write about the lack of photographic coverage of the event. The way the entire conference is setup was there are morning and evening meetings with about 15-20 seminars during the day. It’s not possible for an individual to …

With their refreshing mix of thumping beats, with liberal doses of old English merriment, Flutatious were a delight to behold. I’ve covered their side of the Festival already in this post, but I thought since WIRED could not play I might as well post up a few more of Flutatious at Rickmansworth.

One act I wanted to see at the 2009 Rickmansworth Festival the young acoustic player Tom Craven. He was tucked away in the beer tent but a sizable crowd gathered to watch him play. I liked his sound and was impressed with his songs.
I sincerely hope Tom has the drive and hunger to do well in the music business; he has the talent, now he just needs the audacity and the will to succeed.
