Ahhh, Africa! It has been a long dream of mine to photograph in one of the most amazing and spiritually rich countries in the world. In my search for something that captures my heart (relationships comes to mind) I needed something that would just release my creative side. As much as I love Australia and South East Asia, it has always been Africa that conjured up great images in my mind.
This journey was as much about the people as it was about the land and it was definitely the people …

One of my guilty pleasures is that I’m a huge fan of Nickelback. Chad’s voice is unique and their drummer Daniel Adair is one of the best there is!! This is a live session of one of their biggest songs Rockstar performed yesterday at BBC Radio 1, London.
This is Nickelback’s cover of One Republic’s Stop and Stare. Beautiful…!

An opportunity has arisen which I can only describe as being from God. In a weeks time I will be leaving for Uganda to document Rockfish Streetwear’s first visit. RFSW is Christian clothing company that will be launched very soon. It’s founder, Frazer Evett, will be going over there to see, and more importantly feel, what the situation is like over there.
My main role will be split into two duties; photography and video with what I believe will be a 50/50 split. I would far prefer to photograph more but …

Charismatic and very photogenic are obvious traits of Ms Parsons. What was also interesting was the amount of male attention she got. I swear a saw a lot of men just stop talking she was walking near them. Unfortunately I never got the chance to say hello other than to ask her to look my way during shoots. Another time, perhaps when I am more established, I hope to work with her properly. I am always scouting for locations, ideas and explore the depths of people through the lens.
I do …

I wanted to go out this evening, but I have a foot injury. So I took this opportunity to do something creative in my garden. I shoot with my D300 and a simple 18-70mm F3.5-4.5 but it’s encouraging to know I could have achieve the same thing with my D40x which is currently out on loan.
I enjoy working with the simple lenses more because I have to work a bit harder to achieve a better result. I knew while I was shooting that I would need to do some exposure …
