In the first part of the Red Bullets at Silverstone, I thought it would be appropriate to start with the drummer Mark Edwards. I hadn’t seen Mark in a while but when I did find him in the camp sight he looked different, a bit more confident perhaps. An amazing day spent with one of my favourite bands just by the Silverstone race track ahead of the British Gran Prix happening now.

The Picturedrome is a classic venue that heralds it’s greatest glory days back in the 60s. From the front it’s unasuming but it’s when you enter and get to the back to the main hall is where it’s splendor comes into sight. The high ceiling, art deco lights and a bar that stretches all the way across is wonderful, and a great setting to hold a music gig.

Life is funny isn’ t it? You can meet someone through someone else and then become good friends and the then business partners. That is the case with Gary Mullins. A universal “solid bloke” and amazing guitar player.

Last night was my first opportunity to shoot with my new Pocket Wizards and boy did I learn alot. Placement, aperture and power had to be adjusted, but because I had limited setup time on the stage I was not satisfied with the setup. I’ve been going through the shots in Adobe Lightroom, and there are a few I liked. More photos to come soon.
