Kelly and I weren’t going to see The Red Bullets last night as we both had something just as important to attend. After the evening’s event we both went home. Much to my surprise she rings me thirty minutes later and this was the entire conversation:
“Hello?”
“Be spontaneous!”
“OK”
“Go to the Slug”
“Now?
“Yes!!”

Tucked away in corner of Buckingham, Echo Studios hosted the Bullets recording something very special. I was invited to cover their session which was also a great excuse to bring my friend April along to film them with a video camera.
It was a slow start; being in a band also means they party hard when they have a day off, so lets just say some of them (first names sounds like “ark”) needed to wake up a bit first after a big night on the town. Even so, there were …

We photographed the awesome Red Bullets last night. I’m still sorting through the photos but as a teaser Kelly tested the Nikon D90 for the first time under concert conditions. Photos from that camera to follow soon but check out the video she took of Red Bullets.

The lads are always impressive, and this evening was no exception. The sound was really tight, the performance was engaging and it really looked like they were having a great time!

Because of the deal that was negotiated, I am not permitted to upload photos of the acts that played at Party in the Paddock, but I can release photos of the Red Bullets. I’m still sorting them, I have literally just started because I’ve been shooting for 3 days straight (I wish all weekends were like this).
